The Beginnings of a Blog
I am starting this blog because I recently attended GLSEN's SummerSTART conference where we learned specifically about media and messaging. I have kept a private blog for many years, but I feel it would be good for me to also keep and public record of my opinions. Hopefully, it will also help me improve my writing skills and style.

Hi, Abigail! Thanks for being aware. :) Also, would you mind switching your name (not your blog name, just what's listed as your name) to Abigail C or something similar (initials or whatever)? That way we can move towards having a consistency with the names on the DOS blog and distinguish between you as a person writing and the blogs you write. Thanks for all your hard work - your musings are really interesting (and I will actually send you the college info soon - sorry for not having done that already).
